Stepping Out of the Shadows

Praying God’s Word is so powerful.  Thank you for joining us in praying God’s Word for the Deeper Still Ministry.  It is an honor to be able to pray for the God’s chosen elect to bring them out of bondage and into the light of freedom in Christ Jesus.  

Luke 1:79  To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Thank you Lord Jesus that you give light to the Deeper Still participants who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.  Thank you that you guide their feet into the way of peace?  In Jesus' name, Amen!

As I walked the streets of Key West at night, there were people all around us laughing and appearing to have a wonderful time.  Sin flooded the streets disguised as entertainment and the masses were blinded to the sin that snared them.  If one didn’t know any better, it would seem that sin was all fun. 

Then, I saw her.  Her silhouette is an image forever ingrained in my conscious.  It is a perfect picture of someone sitting in darkness, in the shadow of death.  A young lady was sitting in an alley behind a bar.  She was dressed in a long black summer dress.  Her knees were pulled up close to her body with her arms tightly holding her knees to her chest.  Her hands covered her eyes.  She leaned her head forward  flipping her long black hair over to cover her face.  She rocked back and forth while violently crying. 

 

Those who have had an abortion or been involved in any sin can relate to this girl sitting in the shadows.  The Lord longs to pull those in bondage to sin out into the light.  He longs to free them and guide their feet into the way of peace.  Please pray with us today for these women and men who need freedom, who need to be brought out into the light.
